LifeCoach321 has used the following prayers in years of prayer counseling sessions to help set individuals free.  Credit goes to the Elijah House for the concept and general foundation of the prayers.  LifeCoach321 has modified each prayer as experience and the Holy Spirit has led us.  We encourage you to use these personally and to help others as the Lord leads.  John 8:36  So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.

James 5:16  Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].

 A PRAYER TO FORGIVE:

Lord, I don’t know how to make forgiveness happen.  I can’t cleanse my heart or change my feelings.  I don’t know how to trust, and I’m afraid to hold my heart open.  But today I’m making a choice to forgive.   Please God, give me the willingness and strength to persevere in choosing until forgiveness is accomplished in me by Your power. 

I choose to forgive my father/mother for …..

Forgive in me all my sinful and unrighteous responses …..

Father, I let go of all resentments and bitterness stored in my heart.  Wash me clean.  Forgive me for all condemning judgments I have made.  Give me a new and right spirit within me that will enable me to hate sin but look with Your compassion and love upon the sinner.  Heal the wounded heart within me.  Pour Your love in.  Bless those who wounded me.

Let Your light shine into all the hidden places of my heart.  Enlighten the eyes of my heart, Lord, to see You and love You as You really are, and to walk in Your way.  In Jesus name, Amen.

A  PRAYER OF RELEASE: from Freemasonry, Witchcraft, Idolatry, Mormonism, Occult, Cult, etc.

In the name of Jesus Christ, and by the authority I possess as a believer in Him, I declare that I am redeemed out of the hand of the devil.  Through the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, all my sins are forgiven and cleansed right now from all sin.My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, redeemed and cleansed by the blood of Jesus.  I belong to the Lord Jesus Christ, body, soul and spirit.  His blood protects me from all evil.

 In Jesus’ name I confess right now that my ancestors have been guilty of idolatry.  I call that sin, and I ask Jesus to completely remove that sin from my life and the life of my family.  In the name of Jesus I rebuke any and all lying and deceitful spirits of _________________ (Example: Freemasonry, Witchcraft, etc.) that may think they still have a claim on my family or me.  I declare, in Jesus name, that they no longer have power over my family or me.

 I renounce any and all oaths made at the altar of _______________, in Jesus’ holy name.

 By the power of His shed blood I break any generational curses and bondage that may be oppressing me by oaths, vows or curses made by my parents or ancestors.  I nail all these things to the cross of Christ. I also break any and all power of the devil over my children or grand children for they are under the blood of the Lamb of God.  Because of the blood of Jesus, Satan has no more power over me or my family and no place in us.

Jesus said these signs shall follow them that believe: In My name they shall cast out devils.  I AM A BELIEVER and in the name of Jesus I exercise my authority and expel all evil spirits.  I command them to leave me right now, according to the Word of God and in the name of Jesus. I now ask for a fuller infilling of the Holy Spirit and submit my body, soul, and spirit to the Lordship of Christ, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the Fatherhood of God.

PRAYER TO BREAK AN INNER VOW OR CURSE:

I renounce this vow/curse that ____________. (Name specifically)  By the power and authority of Jesus’ name, I break this vow/curse.  I command my spirit and body to no longer remember it.  I am free, restored to my original design.  I am no longer required to feel, think and act according to this vow/curse.   In Jesus Name, Amen

A PRAYER TO HONOR PARENTS:

Lord, I choose to forgive my father/Mother for his/her  ________ and ________.  I choose to forgive him/her for hurting __________________________.  And I ask You to forgive me, Lord, for judging him/her, for distancing myself from him/her.  Forgive me for the similar ways in which I have hurt __________________________.  By hurting them, I have dishonored YOU.  I repent, and choose to be different in Your strength.

 Lord I ask that You break the power of this judgment against my father/mother and lift this pattern out of my life.  Bring to death on the cross my habits and attitudes of anger.  I ask you to intervene so my family no longer reaps from my planting. Help me to encourage and build them up, not tear down.  Help me to mend the wounds I have caused and to identify with my family’s pain so that I might know the cost of my sin.  Write it into my heart and help me to build new behavior.  Strengthen my spirit so I can contain all of the power and character You want to pour into me.  In Jesus name, Amen.

A PRAYER OF REPENTANCE:

 Lord, I stand before You undone by the damage I have caused another, and by how I have grieved You.  My sin has created a distance between us.  My sin has resulted in broken trust and broken relationship.  Father, I am so very sorry for the pain and grief I have caused. 

Although it hurts to see and feel the pain I have caused, help me to continue feeling this pain until the cost of my sin is written deeply in my heart.  I want never to forget.  Bless this grief, Lord, so that I never speak, act or think this way again.  May the strength of this experience sustain and empower me to do and say the things needed to rebuild trust and bring healing to the wounds I have caused. 

Lord, bless the person (name or names) I have wounded.  Pour Your Holy Spirit into those wounds.  Bless him/her with Your presence and bring Your perfect comfort and healing to his/her life.  In Jesus name, Amen.

A PRAYER FOR GENERATIONAL SIN & INIQUITY:

Lord, the trouble in ___________’s life has come down through the generations.  We know we are helpless to break the patterns of sin which have descended and so we take them to the cross. 

We ask You to place the cross of Jesus between __________’s family and everyone in the family line before them.  Shield them from the effects of __________________________ (be specific).  Your Word tells us that Jesus came to destroy the works of Satan.  We ask that You destroy those patterns by which Satan has access to this family.  Stop them on Your cross, O God.

Lord, we pray that Your cleansing blood will wash back through the bloodlines.  We pray for forgiveness in those areas where ____________ has participated in the sin, (be specific in naming any known involvement), and we ask You to remove the ground of the enemy attack.  May the blood of Jesus cover ____________ and their family. 

We repent and thank You for Your healing. Lord, we ask You to destroy the structures surrounding this sin.  We bind in Jesus’ name any familiar spirit which has urged this family in participation of the sin.  Replace the “familiar” with Your Spirit, Lord.  You tell us in Your Word that Your angels will cover us in all our ways.  Send this family an angel to deliver them out of their troubles.  In Jesus Name, Amen

A PRAYER TO DEFEAT STRONGHOLDS:

Father in heaven, thank You for revealing the presence of this/these mind sets and  stronghold(s) of __________________. 

Thank You for showing me how I have participated in these patterns of thinking/behavior.  I confess I have _________________ and I ask for Your forgiveness. I repent, Lord, of the hurt I have caused and the damage I have done.  Father, assist me in the process of identifying the roots which made me vulnerable.  Renew my mind, Lord.

Lord, I ask You to wash me and keep me hidden in You so I am no longer seduced by the stronghold.  I renounce these thought patterns, and the behaviors that accompany them.  I choose to imitate Jesus Christ, and submit my mind to the working of the Holy Spirit.

In Jesus’ name, I bind this stronghold of _____________ over my mind.  I bind and silence it, Lord, and I ask You to restore my mind so I can think my own thoughts without interference, and so I can open my mind once again to Your Holy Spirit.  Restore so I can see the truth Your Word gives me concerning this area of thinking.

In Jesus name, I bind and cast away the principality energizing this stronghold.  I command it to surrender its hold over me.

A PRAYER TO RESTORE BASIC TRUST:

Lord, I confess I do not trust.  This lack of trust has permeated my life and hindered me.  I know I must forgive.

I forgive You, Lord, for putting me in a family when You did.  Heal the wound that my distrust of You has caused to our relationship.

I forgive my parents, Lord, for the woundings they caused me.

Heal those places in my spirit so that I can be free to have relationship with them.  I forgive my siblings, authority figures, friends who hurt me.

A PRAYER FOR A HEART OF FLESH:

Lord, I have developed a defense to keep myself from being seen.  I have built a hiding place to protect myself from hurt.  I know that this “protection” blocks out the love, warmth and nurture I long for.  I come to YOU because I am helpless to change.  Come into my life and take down the wall.  I want YOU to be my defense.  Lord, help me become vulnerable, to risk love.

Lord, I forgive those people who have wounded me, and I forgive YOU, Lord, for allowing these wounds into my life.  I also forgive myself, for my sinful reactions to hurt and for building this heart of stone.

Father, please forgive me for my sinful responses, and for the way in which I have hurt loved ones by keeping them out of my life.  I repent for the destruction in my own life, and for wounding YOU with my sin, Lord.

Lord, as an act of my will I choose to be connected to others within my family and the Body.  I want to be intimate.  Forgive me, Jesus, for not trusting the love offered me by my spouse, children and fellow Christians.  Help me to see and appreciate the gifts of others.  Put a watch on my lips that I may build up instead of tearing down.  Help me hear the warnings or rebukes as love and not as rejection.  Help me to hold myself in the vulnerable position of receiving ministry, not just offering it.  I ask YOU to bring people into my life who know how to love unconditionally and still have the courage to hold me accountable.  Bring to death my heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh.  In Jesus Name, Amen

A PRAYER FOR CUTTING UNGODLY SOUL TIES:

Father in heaven, thank you for revealing to me the presence of this/these soul tie(s) with:

I confess and ask you to forgive me for my sin which activated this ungodly soul tie.  I ask you to forgive me for any part I played in developing this ungodly soul tie.  (Note: In the case of molestation or other situations where these is no sin in the person who has been abused, confession of sin is not necessary, although it is good to express the reality that sin was evident in the abuser and that this sin produced this soul tie.)

By the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus I “cancel” this tie and “cut” it off from me. I command, in Jesus name, that these persons/things have NO LEGAL ACCESS to my soul through ungodly means. My soul is set free from theirs and any sin, curses, or bondage that may have resulted from this tie.  I command any spirits tieD to this soul tie, to depart in Jesus name.

I bless those I just released from these soul ties and ask the Lord to bless them, for their salvation and forgive them for any part they have played in bringing the enemy’s plan into your life.

A PRAYER FOR REMOVING EVIL SPIRITS:

Father in heaven through the Spirit of the living God, I ask You to evict from my conscious, subconscious and unconscious mind, emotions, will and body all control of any wicked and controlling powers of darkness.
